Courses in correct written English

We offer a range of on-site training options, including half- or full-day sessions and short courses spread over a week, a month or more. All courses are designed to be informal, interactive and enjoyable, while at the same time giving participants the solid grounding they need in written English to ensure their letters, emails, reports and other documents are error-free and easily understood.

Courses can also be adopted for business schools, secretarial colleges and journalism or public relations training institutes.

Course tutors are English graduates, experienced journalists and professional teachers. All possess immense knowledge of the English language, which they bring to the classroom with skill and enthusiasm. Founder and chief tutor Marcia MacLeod is also online tutor for The Publishing Training Centre’s Grammar@Work course for individual students.

Does bad grammar in printed documents embarrass your company?

Is the wrong punctuation poisoning your publicity?

Are your emails riddled with errors?

In short, does your employees' English let you down?

You’re not the only company to suffer. The CBI and Federation of Small Businesses have both complained about the lack of literacy skills among employees and job applicants, whether graduates or not. Even the government has finally admitted there is a serious skills shortage affecting business.

Mark My Words can help. Our courses in grammar and punctuation will enable everyone in your company to write with confidence in a clear, concise manner.
